Evaluation of Knowledge Among Pediatricians on Childhood Asthma and Asthma Attack

Introduction and Objective: Asthma is one of the most common acute chronic conditions in children. It has several characteristic features including wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness, coughing. essential to educate general pediatricians about childhood asthma its treatment standardize care. The aim this study was evaluate knowledge practice treatment. Materials Methods: In study, a total 157 (64.3% woman, mean age 30.5 ± 5.3 ) were enrolled. A questionnaire 45 questions attack applied pediatricians. Results: Although level specialist physicians higher than physician assistants, difference not statistically significant (p> 0.05) except pyhsicans gave more correct answers management question assitants (p<0.05) Seventy nine percent (n: 124) assistants 21% (n=33) specialists. scores frequencies obtained from similar terms gender, time worked as pediatrician (<10 years / > 10 years) being or assistant Conclusion: there some discrepancies between guidelines clinical practice, participating had sufficient attacks.
